Matcha Superior – Organic
Our superior organic ceremonial Matcha is a rare green tea only crafted from the finest selected shade-grown young tea leaves. These leaves are then stone-ground into a fine powder creating a smooth and savory tea high in amino acids, antioxidants and chlorophyll. Stone-grinding results in a richer, smoother, creamier Matcha than the more common ball-milling technique. Slower grinding speeds reduce the friction and heat applied to the leaves helping preserve its vivid green color and fresh flavor. This refined Matcha powder is whisked into a bowl with hot water and enjoyed for its lively, sweet flavor and rich creamy finish, creating a savory uplifting bowl of tea.
- Ingredients: tencha organic green tea
- Origin: Kagoshima Prefecture on Kyushu island in southern Japan
- Brew: 1 tsp. per 4- 6 oz. of 175°-180 water. Place Matcha in bowl and whisk with bamboo chasen rapidly until foam appears on the surface. May be enjoyed iced.
